THE CAMPSITE IN GENERAL

  • Where is Ardèche Camping located?

The campsite is located in Privas, in the centre of the Ardèche. It is the ideal base camp for visiting the Ardèche since we are only an hour away from all the tourist activities in the south (Gorges de l’Ardèche, Vogüé, Labeaume ….), in the north (Train de l’Ardèche, Peaugres, Valrhôna ….), in the east (Drôme, Crest, Grignan) and in the west (Mont Gerbier de Jonc, Lac d’Issarlès ….)

  • What type of campsite are you?

We are a family campsite on a human scale. Since 2002, Nathalie and Jean Christophe welcome you in a 5.5 hectare wooded park, near the centre of Privas.

  • Can we come and stay with you in a camper van or a converted vehicle?

Of course you can! Motorhome and camper van owners are welcomed with a smile. We provide our campers with a free service area (grey water emptying and water filling) as well as two emptying points for your chemical toilets if you have them.  Everything is done to ensure that you have a pleasant stay : the aisles of the campsite are wide enough for your vehicle to pass and the pitches are spacious. We also have XXL pitches for large motorhomes.

  • Do you have a place to party on site?

We don’t have a disco or other party site. We are a family campsite, and that’s why we make people who want to party aware of this as soon as they arrive. It is important to us to respect the peace and quiet of all our guests. To ensure this, we make regular rounds at night.

  • Can I become an owner or a resident?

We do not do residential or mobile home sales. Our accomodations are only weekly for holidaymakers.

  • You are a member of the official quality charter “Camping Qualité”. What does this mean?

ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES

  • I don’t have a GPS, how can I find your campsite?

If you are coming from the A7 motorway : take the Loriol exit, and continue on the D104 towards Le Pouzin. At the roundabout, take the D22 heavy goods road towards Privas, (do not take the D104 towards Privas as the road is narrow), and then continue towards Privas on the D2. Cross the commercial area and once you arrive in Privas, at the roundabout after the bridge, do not take the indication “centre-ville” but on the left towards “St Priest” continue for 200 metres and opposite the Intermarché petrol station is the campsite road on the left.

If you arrive in the direction of Aubenas : on the D104 in the direction of Privas, turn right in the direction of “Centre Hospitalier”. Once at the hospital, turn right and follow the green sign “Toutes directions” for 1 km. At the stop sign, turn right and immediately left towards “Chomérac” for 1 km. Opposite the Intermarché petrol station, on your right, is the campsite road.

  • From what time can I arrive?

Arrivals for accommodation are from 4 pm and departures until 10 am.

Arrivals for pitches are from 1pm and departures until 12 noon.

  • Can I arrive before the indicated time?

Early arrivals are not allowed in July and August, nor on public holiday weekends. This is to ensure the smooth running of the numerous departures, the checking of the pitches and the cleaning of the accomodations.
For accomodations in low season, the possibility of an early arrival will be studied on a case by case basis according to our availability on the day of your arrival. We advise you to call around midday to find out if the accommodation is already available or if you will have to wait until 4pm.

  • What happens if we can’t arrive before 8pm when the reception closes?

Please inform us by phone the same day of your delay (around 6pm) to know the modalities of late reception. Depending on the day, we can exceptionally wait for you until 9pm. After 9pm, we cannot guarantee you a welcome, and you will have to wait until the following day to enter your accommodation, and it will be your responsibility to find alternative accommodation for the night. We would be grateful if you could inform us of any unforeseen circumstances.

  • At what time can I leave the campsite at the earliest?

The gate and the barrier of the campsite are closed from 23.00 to 7.00. However, if you are renting, it will be possible to leave the campsite at night, by parking your vehicle outside the campsite (before the gate) and leaving the key in the letterbox. You will have to contact the reception to settle the last formalities and to organise your departure. For the pitches, you will have to contact the reception to explain the procedure to follow.

  • Do I have to make an appointment for an inventory of fixtures?

If you are staying in an accommodation:

On arrival, there is no inventory of fixtures: we trust you. There is an inventory list in each accomodation. You have until the next morning to inform us if something is missing or broken. After this time, we consider the inventory to be complete. The same applies to the state of cleanliness of your accommodation.

2 possibilities on the day of your departure:

“Fast Check Out”: Your credit card imprint acts as a deposit for the Mobile Home and its cleaning. Bring the keys back to the reception whenever you want (before 10 am) without doing your inventory of fixtures. Our team will take care of the inventory of fixtures without you. You will only be charged if the inventory of fixtures does not meet the campsite’s expectations.
“Classic check out”: Make an appointment between 8 and 10 am for a check out. An employee of the campsite will come and check your accommodation with you. Please make an appointment at least 48 hours before your departure with the reception.

If you are staying on a pitch: you must come to the reception the day before your departure. We will check that your stay is paid for and that everything is in order for your departure the next day.

  • Will a deposit be required on arrival?

A double deposit is required: 150€ (in case of loss, damage or breakage) + 50€ (in case of non respect of the cleanliness of the accommodation when returning the keys). If you have taken the option “end of stay cleaning” when booking, only the 150€ deposit will be requested.  This is not a direct debit, but a pre-authorisation file with a bank imprint.

The bank imprint acts as a guarantee if there is any damage, and after common agreement of the parties we leave ourselves the possibility of cashing the amount of the compensation. If the amount is higher than 150€, we will send you the invoice as soon as possible in order to pay the complement.

After checking the accommodation and if everything is in agreement with our accomodations conditions, the pre-authorisation file on the bank card is closed within 72 hours of your departure. (after deduction of any expenses incurred for the restoration of the premises or for missing or damaged equipment. )

We would also like to remind you that the pitches and accomodations must be completely cleared of all personal belongings and left perfectly clean, in which case we will see ourselves in the possibility of invoicing you the cleaning costs amounting to 50€ for 1 or 2 rooms and 65€ for 3 rooms.

  • I have forgotten a personal item, can you send it back to us?

If you have forgotten an item, please contact us by phone or email. We will send you the procedure to follow to return the items. You must pay the shipping costs directly to the organization that will take care of the return of the parcel (Laposte, Mondial Relay etc…)
